Responsibilities

  • What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors As a Site Design Project Engineer, you will lead civil engineering design efforts for diverse land development projects, primarily serving private sector clients.
  • You will collaborate closely with Project Managers to develop and execute tailored scopes of services that align with client needs and objectives.
  • Your role as a key decision-maker throughout the project lifecycle will involve guiding the process from conceptual design to construction, ensuring high-quality deliverables and successful project outcomes.
  • Your expertise and leadership will be essential in fostering strong client relationships and driving innovative solutions in site design.
  • Oversee design team and facilitate QA/QC.

Requirements

  • Functional knowledge of sanitary sewer, water, power, gas, and telecom utilities.
  • Ability to interpret plats, deeds, easements, legal descriptions, etc.
  • Expertise with topographic models of existing and proposed conditions.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3d, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling programs, AutoTurn and similar civil engineering design software.

Nice to have

  • Work collaboratively with team of internal staff, external consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Mentor staff and contribute to organizational growth.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or better in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Site Design, Civil Engineering, or Land Development.
  • Kentucky PE license is required.
  • Indiana or Tennessee PE is a plus.
  • Ability to engage with clients, internal staff, contractors, and community officials.
