About the role
- This position involves operating fabrication machinery to cut, bend, and form steel components used in structural and miscellaneous metal projects.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in reading fabrication drawings and producing quality parts.
Responsibilities
- Work with production personnel to maintain workflow and meet daily production goals.
Nice to have
- Operate press brakes, shears, and other fabrication equipment to cut, bend, and form structural steel and miscellaneous metal products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
- Measure, mark, and lay out materials using tape measures, squares, levels, and other precision measuring tools.
- Inspect completed parts to verify dimensions, accuracy, and overall quality.
- Move raw materials and finished products using forklifts and overhead cranes while following safe material handling practices.
- Keep equipment and work areas clean while following company safety procedures.
- Two or more years of experience operating press brakes, shears, or similar metal fabrication equipment preferred.
- Experience working with structural steel or miscellaneous metal fabrication.
