About the role

The Psychologist provides doctoral level integrated behavioral health services as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) and functions as a key member of the primary care medical team.
The BHC abides by guidelines and expectations specific to the clinic in which they provide patient care.
Services will be provided in the Ambulatory Care Services (ACS) clinic(s) with a focus on therapeutic interventions across the lifespan.

Doctorate Degree in psychology from an accredited school Required
1-3 years One year of postdoctoral experience Required
State Board of Psychologist Examiners Required and
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
PSY-Licensed Psychologist - State Board of Psychologist Examiners Required and
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
Ability to participate as a faculty member with the Division of Medicine and provide teaching and supervision as needed for the psychology internship training program through the Department of Psychiatry.

Knowledge of patient populations' cultural, religious, ethnic, and social systems in interactions, care planning, and education.
Knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations, diagnoses, treatment, and prognosis.
Skill in providing care appropriate to the age of the patients served within the clinic setting.
Ability to respond to feedback and incorporate it into practice.
Ability to respond to trauma or psychiatric emergency including writing involuntary mental health holds.
Microsoft Office skills required.
Knowledge of electronic health record preferred.
Conduct brief diagnostic screening of patients using evidence-based assessments and screening tools. (10%)
