About the role
- This working supervisor oversees and actively participates in the work of 10-12 ammonia refrigeration techs. (Direct reports).
- Ensure compliance with state and federal refrigeration regulations and codes.
- Apply refrigeration knowledge to install & start-up refrigeration equipment per specifications.
Responsibilities
- Promote the team's safety-first mindset and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Guide and support team; coordinate resources in troubleshooting repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs) for ammonia refrigeration system.
- Collaborate with vendors and parts room team to manage inventory / supplies for refrigeration systems.
- Exhibit knowledge and perform work related to Process Safety management (PSM), Frick computer and ice making systems.
Nice to have
- GED (Min.) (required);Associates degree (preferred / not required)
- Refrigeration coursework / certification / formal training (preferred) Experience:
- Min. of 3 years work experience in refrigeration equipment & systems OR related field Min.
- 2 years' maintenance leadership experience / training (required)
