About the role

  • As a full-time (FTE) / dedicated Ford of Canada Communications team member, through NATIONAL Public Relations, the Senior Communications Specialist role will contribute to Ford's transformation and the company's future vision.
  • This position is project-oriented and will challenge you to demonstrate strategic thinking, business acumen and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspires advocacy, builds the Ford brand and creates desire for our vehicles, experiences and technology solutions
  • Demonstrates our drive to create value for stakeholders through Ford+
  • Inspires a culture of optimism, competitiveness and creative excellence among our Ford team and partners

Requirements

  • 5 to 10+years of experience in internal and employee, brand and/or corporate communications.
  • Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and channels.
  • Proficiency with digital and social media tools relevant to content development, publishing and reporting.
  • A self-starter with the ability to balance strategic thinking with plan development and execution.
  • Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism, media studies, marketing, advertising or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables concurrently.
  • News reporting or editing experience.
  • Abilities
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Critical thinking and sound problem-solving ability.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
  • Initiative, accountability and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Nice to have

  • Bilingualism in English and French is a nice to have.

Compensation

  • The expected salary for this role is $85,000-105,000 CAD.
