About the role

As a Setup Person for Powered Hand Tools, you will be essential in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our operations.
You will be responsible for cleaning, setting up, and maintaining a variety of specialized external tools, ensuring they function properly and meet Boeing specifications.
Additionally, you will assist production teams in selecting the appropriate power equipment for various jobs, ensuring that all tools are in optimal condition for safe operation.

Clean, set up, maintain, and perform minor repairs on specialized external tools per Boeing specifications and Hole Set-up Pre-Sheets (HPSS).
Perform visual and functional checks on tools and accessories, inspecting for damage.
Receive tools, equipment, and supplies to support the shop, logging in receivables using various computer programs.
Manage inventory of tools, shop supplies, and materials, auditing periodically for accuracy.
Send power tools to the tool repair area for maintenance and repair of internal drive and feed mechanisms.
Use and update various information systems to perform assigned tasks and maintain thorough inventory recording and control systems.

1+ year of experience working with precision measuring tools.
1+ year of experience working with powered hand tools.
1+ years of experience as a machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes.
1+ years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings.
1+ years of experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Develop, update, and implement processes and procedures as required.
Arrange for the loan of tools and equipment as required.
Inspect the contents of toolboxes and issue hold-out notices as required.

Experience in Inventory Management.
