About the role

- By shuttle, bus, charter or valet, we find creative ways to move people, business, and communities forward.
- The Shop Foreman is a Leadership Position within our Fleet Team.
Responsibilities
- Be able to teach, coach and lead others in a positive manner.
- Create systems of work that can be completed in-house vs. vending out.
- Maintain vehicle compliance (DVIRs) and update Samsara through Fleetio to ensure all issues are resolved daily.
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful work environment.
- Support the IT Team in the management of on-board shuttle technology such as Wi-Fi devices, telematics systems and tablets to ensure the systems are functional and installed accordingly.
- We partner with some of the world's leading companies to create personalized transportation systems and hospitality experiences.
- They partner with the Fleet Manager, Fleet Supervisor and Fleet Coordinator for scheduling fleet maintenance work on a variety of different fleet vehicles ranging from Motorcoaches to Transit Vans.
- The Shop Foreman will work with the team to diagnosis and troubleshoot complex issues, manage work orders to ensure accurately billing, have advance understanding of heavy duty and light duty vehicle components, be familiar with fleet telematics systems, DVIR processes, monitor shop efficiency and performance and above all Lead with Humility. *This role is currently open to current TransWest team members*
Requirements
- 5+ years of maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a fleet maintenance, automotive repair, or transportation operations environment and or shop environment.
- Experience in leading the work of others and comfortable making difficult decisions.
- Experience auditing and verifying work orders for labor hours and parts accuracy.
- Must be a pro-active communicator.
