About the role

  • This position offers the opportunity to directly impact product quality, operational performance, and new product readiness within a complex manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for quality issues affecting production.
  • Support new product development activities, including production start-ups, tooling validation, and vendor certification processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection criteria for critical product features and quality standards.
  • Assist in developing and refining quality control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Evaluate quality performance metrics and implement process or objective adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Deliver training, mentoring, and development for quality technicians to build capability and consistency.
  • Manage quality-related activities within approved budget parameters.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and support a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Problem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, including PFMEA, control plans, root cause corrective action, and quality management systems.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and conducting product or process failure analysis.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with a significant shop floor presence.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required for business needs.
  • To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
