About the role
- Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands-on role for someone with a builder mindset.
- Write clear, compelling copy for both customer-facing sales materials and external marketing channels.
Responsibilities
- Compound Eye is looking for a Marketing Specialist to own and grow our marketing presence.
- Partner with leadership to develop and maintain brand strategy, ensuring consistency across all materials and channels, and to plan participation in conferences and events.
- Partner with the CEO and Sales to understand the defense buyer landscape, competitive positioning, and industry trends, and translate those findings into actionable marketing decisions.
- Produce and project-manage concept videos.
- Manage and track Compound Eye's social media presence, with a primary focus on LinkedIn and defense industry channels.
- Plan and manage Compound Eye's participation in industry conferences, including logistics, materials, and follow-up.
- Manage relationships with external marketing and advertising agencies.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of B2B marketing experience across multiple disciplines, ideally in a tech startup or small team environment.
- Proficiency with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics or HubSpot to track performance and report on results.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adjust tone for technical and general audiences.

- Defense industry, or demonstrated familiarity with defense culture, procurement processes, and the language of defense technology marketing.

- $85k-130k, depending on experience.
