A high volume / transactional approach to sales, with proven experience building a book of business.
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can drive sales quickly to a close.
Experiencing using AI tools to drive greater efficiency and productivity.
Our suite of products supports knowledge and skill development, writing practice, daily instruction, assessment, and data-informed decision-making across K-12 classrooms.

1+ years hitting or exceeding a quota of selling SaaS products
K-12 EdTech highly preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in seamlessly navigating multiple stakeholders to engineer the right solution for each customer.
Legally authorized to work in the US.

$60,000 - $62,500 depending on experience
On-target commission (OTC): $60,000 - $62,500
$120,000 - $125,000
Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's individual skills, qualifications, and experience.
Total compensation for this role also includes incentive stock options and benefits.
This role will also will also be eligible for variable compensation.

Have a direct impact on the expansion and adoption of Newsela products, which will ultimately scale Newsela's ability to bring engaging, culturally responsive learning content to K-12 classrooms nationwide.
Stay current and well-versed in the territory's funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape to help inform the overall sales strategy.
A potential background in education (e.g., former teacher), or a good grasp of pedagogy and the ability to truly help connect the challenges in the classroom to the solutions Newsela is building nice to have.
