About the role
- The licensed Journeyman Electrician is responsible for supporting commercial HVAC systems and projects.
- This role will serve as a senior electrical resource for the organization, performing installations, ensuring code compliance, supporting field teams, and providing technical expertise across projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical work as a licensed Journeyman Electrician, ensuring all work meets NEC and local code requirements
- Control systems and building automation interfaces
- Support the permitting and inspection process
- Lead troubleshooting efforts on complex electrical and control issues within HVAC systems
- Maintain accurate documentation for compliance, inspections, and project records
- Perform and support electrical installations for commercial
Requirements
- Ability to balance hands-on work with oversight responsibilities
- Active Journeyman Electrician License (required - state-specific)
- 10+ years of electrical experience, with a strong focus on commercial HVAC systems
- Deep knowledge of:
- Experience working in commercial environments (retail, office, industrial, etc.)
Nice to have
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls
- Experience working alongside HVAC service and install teams
