About the role

  • The Emerald Cloud Laboratory (ECL) enables life scientists to move out of the lab, and to conduct research entirely from a computer.
  • Our system empowers scientists at Big Pharma companies, startups, and academic laboratories by allowing them to run wet lab experiments from anywhere in the world without ever stepping foot into the lab.
  • You will assume the overall responsibility for the management and maintenance of our Austin, TX facilities.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Facilities Management
  • Experience with ISO 27001 Certification
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Experience with facilities management, including maintenance, security, and vendor management
  • Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and initiatives
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) are a plus
  • Experience managing a GMP compliant facility preferred
