Responsibilities

  • Modify, maintain and install PLC programs
  • Perform electrical isolation of equipment for safety of self and others, while minimizing interference to operations

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles and wiring specification codes
  • Must have a current Industrial Electrician 442a or Construction & Maintenance 309a Red Seal license
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language
  • Must have at least 2 years work experience as an electrician in a heavy manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.

  • The Industrial Electrician will maintain all electrical equipment in the facility, including the plant machinery, structures, and component parts on which work is being performed.
  • The Industrial Electrician will:
  • Analyze and interpret one lines, wiring diagrams, sketches and diagrams to select a logistical approach to troubleshooting, tracing, and testing circuits
  • Repair and install electrical or electronic equipment and component parts
  • Advise operators, mechanics and other electrical maintenance personnel of standard operating procedures and requirements for electrical equipment and controls
  • The Industrial Electrician should have:
  • Strong working knowledge of PLCs, electronic drive systems, power distribution equipment, phase motors (single and 3 phase), control instrumentation and VFDs
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Basic PC literacy (Word, email, data entry)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule, with holiday and weekend requirements
  • Hourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $47.39
