About the role

  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general property maintenance and upkeep.
  • This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our buildings, creating safe, functional environments for tenants, clients, and patients.
  • Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Implement, with the Supervisor, a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan and maintain all related records and logs
  • Communicate effectively to appropriate individual building status and changes
  • Utilize materials, supplies, tools, and other building property in a safe, productive manner
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer's specifications and written operational procedures

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience and technical training
  • Must be safety conscious
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software
  • Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use
  • Must be located in Baltimore, MD area or willing to relocate
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

Nice to have

  • High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance-related courses are preferred
  • CFC Handling Certification is preferred, stationary engineer license preferred as well

Skills

  • Assist Supervisor in establishing and maintaining all equipment, tools, supplies in stock, inventories and logs

Compensation

  • The estimated base salary range for this position is $28 – $32 per hour.
