About the role

The MA works closely with patients, handling both front- and back-office functions in a fast-paced medical setting.
The Medical Assistant functions under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor and/or Practice/Office Manager.
The MA recognizes patient's needs and symptoms in advance and responds appropriately, always keeping patient safety and the patient experience at the center of care delivery.

Performs other duties as necessary related to front office tasks and registration, laboratory and x-ray testing.
Partners with the patient and significant others and/or family (as appropriate); keeping the patient at ease in the office through a collaborative and communicative approach to all care rendered.

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Laboratory Duties and Expectations Properly starts lab equipment daily, maintains daily logs, and required documentation.
High Ability to read, write and speak the English language
basic computer skills required.
