- & Qualifications Position Overview The Novelis Greensboro team is seeking a Recycling Operator.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights and weekends, as well as overtime and holidays when scheduled or required.
- Ability to work in manufacturing temperatures that may range from below 50°F during winter to above 100°F during summer.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn Microsoft Office, SAP and other production systems.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in manufacturing, recycling, material handling, logistics, Hot Metal, Remelt or the aluminum industry.
- Experience operating skid steers, loaders, sweepers or similar mobile equipment.
- Experience unloading trucks or rail cars.
- Experience inspecting incoming material, performing quality sampling or maintaining material feed rates.
- Experience using SAP or another computerized inventory or production-record system.
- Additional coursework or training in manufacturing, recycling operations, mobile equipment, logistics, inventory control or a related field.
- Work Schedule and Conditions 12.5-hour rotating shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, averaging between 37.5 and 50 scheduled hours every other week.
- Planned rotation between days and nights approximately every two months.
