About the role
- You'll join as a Group Product Manager, reporting to the SVP of Product.
- At a seed-stage company, that combination matters: we need someone who can roll up your sleeves across the PDLC and also make a small team more effective.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a team of 1-2 PMs - set direction, review their work, unblock them, and develop their craft
- Own a meaningful slice of the product roadmap yourself, spanning clinical/ops tooling, PCP-facing referral tooling, or patient experience depending on where priorities and your strengths line up
- Translate operational, clinical, and referral-partner workflows into product requirements, balancing clinical nuance, physician expectations, speed, and technical feasibility
- Partner with engineering and design to scope, sequence, and ship - from first spec through launch and iteration
- Define and track success metrics tied to real outcomes rather than just feature velocity, for both your own area and your team's
- Identify where AI can meaningfully reduce manual burden across the business, and lead responsible, well-scoped adoption of those tools
- In a little over a year, Benchmark has built a steady stream of patient referrals and the proprietary clinical workflow tools to deliver great patient care.
Requirements
- A team that respects clinical expertise: our clinicians describe Benchmark as a place where their input directly shapes product, not just execution
Nice to have
- will consider broader New England/East Coast (3-4 days/month in office)
- Comfort working directly with clinicians and operational staff to do discovery and push our care model forward
- A track record of shipping in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Comfortable driving alignment across clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders, and creating launch plans that include releases and change management
Skills
- Benchmark's Product org spans patient-facing experiences, internal Clinical and Ops tooling, and PCP and payer-facing tools.
Benefits
- Benchmark Health
- Billions have been invested into behavioral health innovations over the past years, yet the sum of these efforts have led to close to zero improvement at a population level.
- Unlike other fields of medicine where there are clear markers for quality (e.g. blood tests for diabetes), behavioral health does not have meaningful quality metrics that can support true value-based care payment rails.
- The service is offered through partnerships with health systems, primary care providers, and health plans.
- Patients already rate us with NPS scores that rival top consumer brands, not just top healthcare companies.
- We have the basics of quality measurement in place today, and we're investing seriously in building something far more sophisticated and game-changing for measuring quality in mental health.
- prior exposure to behavioral health, care coordination, triage systems, or value-based care models
Company info
- David Mou, a serial entrepreneur, and Dr.
- Tom Insel, the former director of the National Institute of Mental Health.
- we need someone who can roll up your sleeves across the PDLC and also make a small team more effective.
- We expect you to work AI-natively yourself day to day, and to ship AI-powered products.
- This is a generalist, full-lifecycle role.
- You'll do discovery across internal and external stakeholders, translate pain points into clear product bets, write specs, work daily with engineering, and measure what shipped against real clinical and operational outcomes - all while coaching your PMs to do the same.
- our commitment to members is structural, not aspirational
