About the role

Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain appropriate water chemistry levels, including pH, chlorine, and alkalinity, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for aquatic life and human patrons.
- Assist in the design and installation of new aquatic exhibits, including selecting appropriate species, creating habitat structures, and establishing environmental enrichment protocols.

Requirements
- Application proficiency - species ID, product selection & dosing, application strategies (minimal retreats)
- Strong knowledge of aquatic biology, ecology, and water chemistry principles, with a focus on maintaining optimal environmental conditions for aquatic life.
- Familiarity with aquatic equipment, including filtration systems, pumps, UV sterilizers, and water quality testing instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and water quality issues effectively.
Nice to have
- Degree in related science preferred
- 4+ years' experience preferred in an environmental related field
- Certification in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding preferred.
