About the role
- At Insulet, this role is critical to enabling the successful execution of our most impactful business and technology initiatives by ensuring alignment, visibility, and operational excellence across a complex portfolio of programs.
- This role will also have responsibility for the pmo delivery for our enabling functions including IT and Customer Facing Software (DSCX) with direction over leaders in this area.
Responsibilities
- Lead PMO operating mechanisms and governance processes.
- Drive delivery across product, IT, and customer software programs.
- Manage resource capacity, allocation, and forecasting.
- Escalate and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies.
- With its simple, wearable design, the tubeless disposable Pod provides up to three days of non-stop insulin delivery, without the need to see or handle a needle.
- Insulet's flagship innovation, the Omnipod 5 Automated Insulin Delivery System, integrates with a continuous glucose monitor to manage blood sugar with no multiple daily injections, zero fingersticks, and can be controlled by a compatible personal smartphone in the U.S. or by the Omnipod 5 Controller.
- Insulet also leverages the unique design of its Pod by tailoring its Omnipod technology platform for the delivery of non-insulin subcutaneous drugs across other therapeutic areas.
Requirements
- 15+ years program management operations and people leadership.
Nice to have
- Bachelor in a relevant technical field such as Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
- experience in agile (SAFe preferred) software development including Scrum and Kanban
- 10+ years program management operations and people leadership.
- Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Skills
- Enterprise Program and Portfolio Management expertise with the ability to align execution to business strategy.
- Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and scaled delivery frameworks across multiple teams.
- Resource planning, capacity management, and portfolio prioritization experience.
- Proven ability to establish and operate governance, portfolio reviews, and executive reporting mechanisms.
- Expertise in risk identification, dependency management, and escalation practices.
- Data-driven decision making using program, portfolio, and resource metrics.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic objectives and operational execution.
- Experience driving organizational change, process improvement, and PMO operational excellence initiatives.
- Proficiency with portfolio and delivery management tools such as Clarity PPM, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, and related reporting platforms.
- Ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment, ideally medical devices, healthcare technology, or similar industries.
Compensation
- Compensation & Benefits:For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $248,500.00 - $372,700.00This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including
