About the role

The role will be instrumental in reviewing and updating all facility engineering and maintenance policies, programs, and practices.
Through policy review, program review, and training for operations and maintenance staff, this role will set up this healthcare facility for future success and operational excellence.

Develop Statements of Work, perform market research, provide input to COR for independent government cost estimates.
Prepare and deliver a report of missing documentation to service unit leadership and the COR.
Establish and maintain communication with IHS and Tribal construction project managers.
Occasional assistance with heavier loads using proper lifting techniques or team support.

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
Minimum experience: 5 years in the role of hospital facility manager.

This will likely include time spent in equipment rooms, inspecting equipment housed outdoors, and on roofs.

Lifting and carrying tools, equipment, or materials, often up to 50 pounds.
Performing repairs or inspections in tight or awkward spaces.
Installing or adjusting systems at ground level or under equipment.
Manual Dexterity Using hand tools and power tools that require fine motor skills.
Performing tasks that demand coordination and precision, such as wiring or component adjustments.
Visual and Auditory Demands Reading blueprints, gauges, or computer screens.
Identifying system alerts, alarms, or malfunctions by sound.
Handling Environmental Conditions Exposure to temperature extremes (boiler rooms, rooftops).
Working in noisy, dirty, or poorly ventilated areas.
Exposure to potentially hazardous materials or environments (e.g., chemicals, biohazards) requiring PPE.
Emergency Response Being on call or responding to facility emergencies at any hour.
Rapid physical movement during critical incidents like system failures or natural disasters.
