About the role
- Please note: this position is expected to be temporary in nature with an estimated duration of 6 months but can extend.
- Remote candidates will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide logistical support for commodity shipments by various means of shipment, including rail, truck, container or barge.
- Manage and reconcile offsite inventories.
- Maintain brokerage information and commissions.
- Utilize computer programs to maintain purchases, sales, and daily position reports.
- Overview This position provides administrative and customer support to our trading activities.

Requirements
- Previous Merchandising Assistant experience in the grain industry required.
- Must be self-motivated, capable of working independently and with others.
- Valid Driver's License required for insurance purposes.
Compensation
- In addition to the base compensation range presented, this position will also be eligible for our Short-term Incentive Plan (STIP) with a target of 10% Compensation Min USD $70,000.00/Yr.
- Compensation Max USD $85,000.00/Yr.

- Assist customers in resolving commodity, freight, and accounting inquiries.
- The position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the entire purchase and sales contract process from entry to final settlement and continuous communication with all counterparties involved, including customers, vendors, and logistics providers.
- Ability to project strong, clear and concise communication with all levels of the organization and with external customers.
