About the role
- This position provides direct clinical services to clients in the Felong Mental Health Court/FACT program with up to 75% of services occurring in the community.
- Provides counseling, comprehensive case management, and advocacy for FACT clients, with the goal of reducing recidivism into the Jail, reduce reliance on Emergency Rooms, and reduce use of both medical and psychiatric inpatient hospitals when appropriate.
- Attends court with clients on a weekly basis and responds immediately to crisis situations with FACT clients as necessary.
Responsibilities
- You will perform Substance Use Disorder assessments in office-based, inpatient, or community settings as necessary
- develop treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and conduct individual and group counseling sessions within the provisions of MultiCare's policies and standards, as well as local, state, federal and other regulatory requirements
- You will develop relationships with community resources and develop treatment and safety plans to assist individuals and their natural and professional supports in resolving chemically induced crises
- Performs on-going clinically appropriate assessments of consumers.
- Develops, with consumer voice, the goals to be addressed in individual treatment plans, tailored care plans, and crisis plans, in accordance with the appropriate model of care.
- Maintains professional clinical boundaries with consumers.
- Provides advocacy with the court system, the jail, and other community supports as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Washington State Counselor Agency Affiliated Registered (ACCR) credential must be applied for within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Ability to pass a jail background check is required.
- You will complete all required documentation
- Maintains clinical competency and resource knowledge required to meet changing consumer, community, and industry trends.
Skills
- Skilled in a broad range of SUD treatment methods and techniques for working with diverse populations and carious client issues.
- Direct clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of SUD and addiction needs
- A knowledge and understanding of mental disorders and basic familiarity with the DSM-V
- Knowledge of the major components of a mental status examination and competency in performing on-going assessments
- A basic knowledge of psychotropic medications with the ability to recognize side-effects
- Well-developed skills in managing time, priorities, and paperwork; a sensitive perception of the needs of individuals with disabilities
- Keen understanding of the importance of clear, professional boundaries, and maintenance of such
- Possession of proven teamwork skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; and demonstration of good common sense
- Cultural competence
Compensation
- Provides all required annual documentation to Human Resources and completes all required Workday Learning training in a timely manner.
