Responsibilities

  • Own Mission-Critical Components: Build and maintain critical data acquisition and ingestion pipelines, ensuring the seamless, scalable, and secure extraction and normalization of patient data from diverse hospital networks.
  • Support Compliance & Security: Follow software development best practices and ensure your data flows and system integrations adhere to the standards and guidance set forth by the FDA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate & Mentor: Join a team of high-performing engineers on a mission to revolutionize precision heart care. You will mentor more junior engineers and contribute to system design discussions.
  • Cloud & Connectivity: Building within modern cloud ecosystems and designing secure RESTful APIs and applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Mentoring engineers, contributing to system design, and establishing rigorous software development best practices and testing strategies.
  • You will own the design and delivery of significant components within the interoperability domain, improving how clinical data is processed, modeled, and delivered.
  • Design and develop HeartFlow's interoperability services.
  • Implement data modeling and persistence strategies.

Requirements

  • Strong Python development proficiency, applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, and architecting robust microservices and event-driven architectures at scale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Compensation

  • A reasonable estimate of the base salary compensation range is $180,000 to $215,000, bonus, and equity. #LI-IB1
