About the role

  • In this role, you will report to the Filters Unit Production Manager.
  • At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
  • However, certain positions require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Responsibilities

  • As a Coating Technician 1 at MKS Inc., you will partner with Operations to produce thin film coatings in various vacuum chambers.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time

Skills

  • Thin film coating experience
  • Experience operating vacuum chambers
  • Computer literate - experience with Excel
  • Physical Demands and
  • Associate degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required
  • 1 year of related experience required
  • Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems
  • Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments ​

Compensation

  • $16.70 - 27.83 per hour.
  • This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
