About the role

  • Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer, you'll ensure our corporate records, equity administration, and compliance mechanisms run with exceptional discipline and precision.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oakland, CA office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home on Tu/Fr.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of company-wide policies, partnering with the People team to keep training content current, effective, and fully deployed.
  • Administer Everlaw's Corporate Records Glean Agent to maintain clean, searchable, and well-organized corporate records.
  • Provide agile backup support for contract lifecycle management, DSAR tracking, and DPA/BAA administration during peak periods.
  • Partner closely with outside counsel, executives, and internal stakeholders across Finance, People, and Security to resolve operational legal needs.
  • You demonstrate disciplined document management instincts, excellent project management skills, and sound judgment around confidentiality, privilege, and escalation.

Requirements

  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the poise and clarity required to collaborate directly with executives, directors, and outside counsel.
  • You have experience with privacy program operations (GDPR/CCPA, DSAR handling, vendor DPAs) or contract lifecycle management tools.
  • You have 5+ years of paralegal experience, including substantive in-house experience at a venture-backed or pre-IPO company or law firm experience supporting emerging growth clients.
  • You are authorized to work in the United States.
  • You have familiarity with corporate compliance frameworks (FCPA, OFAC sanctions screening, whistleblower hotlines, third-party due diligence).
  • You have exposure to UK entity administration, compliance training programs, or public company readiness workstreams.

Nice to have

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (a paralegal certificate or notary commission is a plus).

Compensation

  • Help operate Everlaw's Corporate Compliance Program, including administering the whistleblower line, supporting third-party risk and sanctions programs, and coordinating annual compliance deliverables.
  • The expected salary range for this role is between $141,000 and $179,000.
  • The final offered salary will be dependent upon many factors including the candidate's experience and skills.
  • The base pay range is subject to change in the future.
