About the role

Join our team as a Service Vehicle Operator and be the hero our AAA members rely on when they need help most.
You'll respond to service calls, assist stranded motorists with services like jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts, and safely tow vehicles when needed.
This role combines hands-on problem solving, customer care, and safe driving, all while working independently on the road.

Responsibilities

Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction.
Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
Utilize tablets and electronic devices to manage calls, update service requests, and access towing procedures.
Accurately document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
Maintain DOT certification and an acceptable driving record.
Support community and special AAA events as needed.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to successfully complete AAA training programs.
If employed in Illinois, possession of a valid Illinois C-Non CDL driver's license is required
Experience operating wheel-lift, flatbed, or dolly towing equipment.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Every applicant offered employment within The Auto Club Group will be required to consent to a background and drug screen based on the requirements of the position.
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Valid state driver's license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
Must successfully pass drug screening, motor vehicle record review, criminal background check, and DOT physical examination. (pre-employment and ongoing).
Comfortable using GPS, mobile technology, tablets, and electronic applications.
Ability to read and interpret roadside service procedures and member benefits.
Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Compensation

Hourly rates starting at $22.50 per hour

ACG utilizes a geographic pay differential as part of the base salary compensation program.
Pay ranges outlined in this posting are based on the various ranges within the geographic areas which ACG operates.
Salary at time of offer is determined based on these and other factors as associated with the job and job level.
