About the role
- Join our team as a Service Vehicle Operator and be the hero our AAA members rely on when they need help most.
- You'll respond to service calls, assist stranded motorists with services like jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts, and safely tow vehicles when needed.
- This role combines hands-on problem solving, customer care, and safe driving, all while working independently on the road.
Responsibilities
- Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction.
- Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
- Utilize tablets and electronic devices to manage calls, update service requests, and access towing procedures.
- Accurately document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
- Maintain DOT certification and an acceptable driving record.
- Support community and special AAA events as needed.

Requirements
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to successfully complete AAA training programs.
- If employed in Illinois, possession of a valid Illinois C-Non CDL driver's license is required
- Experience operating wheel-lift, flatbed, or dolly towing equipment.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Every applicant offered employment within The Auto Club Group will be required to consent to a background and drug screen based on the requirements of the position.
- Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver's license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
- Must successfully pass drug screening, motor vehicle record review, criminal background check, and DOT physical examination. (pre-employment and ongoing).
- Comfortable using GPS, mobile technology, tablets, and electronic applications.
- Ability to read and interpret roadside service procedures and member benefits.
- Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Compensation
- Hourly rates starting at $22.50 per hour

- ACG utilizes a geographic pay differential as part of the base salary compensation program.
