About the role

  • You will also play a key role in improving product development processes, mentoring product managers, and helping the broader organization make better decisions through clear strategy, strong judgment, and effective communication.
  • This role reports to the VP, Product, and is based in our New York City HQ with a periodic in-office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product strategy and execution across Business Insider's monetization portfolio, with a strong emphasis on subscription growth, engagement, retention, and renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the subscriber experience across the lifecycle, using research, experimentation, and data to inform priorities and validate impact.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to launch and iterate on products that drive conversion, reduce churn, deepen loyalty, and create sustainable revenue growth.
  • Drive complex, cross-functional initiatives that require strong judgment, stakeholder alignment, and clear communication across teams and leadership.
  • Mentor Product Managers and serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership on monetization opportunities, tradeoffs, and priorities.
  • A strong track record of using data, experimentation, and customer insight to shape product strategy and drive growth.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions across a broad group of partners.
  • A passion for building audience-centered products and sustainable consumer revenue models.

  • $150,000 - $160,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies)
