Job Profile: Financial Analyst 1 Job Family: Budget, Planning and Financial Analysis Time Type: Full time Max Pay - Depends on experience: $80,000.00 USD Annual Apply before 11:59 PM Arizona time the day before the posted End Date.
This role provides an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, currently set at 60% in-office and 40% remote.
Essential Duties: Internal budget liaison You are the primary relationship manager and point of contact in OPB for your assigned administrative/VP area budget units.

You prepare cost and budget unit variance analyses, develop revenue and expense forecasts, analyze trends, and compile commitment analyses.
As needed, you perform financial account reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and transaction research to support unit planning efforts and executive decision making.

Associate's degree and one (1) year of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field
May have interactions outside department, as functionally required.
This position may report to the Director, Budget Planning and Operations (BPO) or to a senior subordinate to the Director as functionally required.
Applicant must be eligible to work in the United States
Experience using enterprise resource planning applications, including general ledger and budget applications (e.g., Workday Adaptive Planning, Workday FMS, PeopleSoft).
Ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.

To meaningfully contribute to all of these internal efforts, you develop a strong understanding of the core functionality of Working Adaptive Planning, ASU's enterprise-wide budget and planning software.
Evidence of a Master's degree in related field, such as finance, business, public administration, public policy, economics, higher education administration
Three (3) years relevant work experience in budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis in the public or nonprofit sectors (preferably in higher education).

$70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
As Budget Planning and Operations Analyst, you serve as budget liaison to assigned administrative/Vice President ("VP") units or academic units, supporting chief business officers through ASU's internal annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and mid-year CFO financial review processes.
In support of both your budget units and the CFO, you perform work to support central resource planning, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and mid-year CFO financial review processes.
