About the role

  • Housekeeper - Part-Time Kern River Transitional Care Center - Bakersfield, CA Pay Range: $17.48-$17.58/hour Kern River Transitional Care Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team.
  • This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
  • The smell and noise level in the work environment are usually low to moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of public and common areas throughout the day, including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
  • Clean and maintain resident rooms and bathrooms
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read and understand procedures, instruction manuals, and directions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and seek assistance when needed
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Nice to have

  • Previous housekeeping or long-term care facility experience preferred
