About the role
- Housekeeper - Part-Time Kern River Transitional Care Center - Bakersfield, CA Pay Range: $17.48-$17.58/hour Kern River Transitional Care Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team.
- This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
- The smell and noise level in the work environment are usually low to moderate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of public and common areas throughout the day, including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors
- Clean and maintain resident rooms and bathrooms
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and understand procedures, instruction manuals, and directions
- Ability to solve practical problems and seek assistance when needed
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

- Skills & Abilities
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Strong time-management skills

Nice to have
- Previous housekeeping or long-term care facility experience preferred
