About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily accounting history records, audit State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) tax accounts and approve, prepare, and post accounting entries to reconcile and maintain accounts.
  • Review employer's tax documents and make statutory determinations on the employer's SUTA account.

Requirements

  • Employees must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving objects of up to 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to complete all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
  • Computer Skills - Employee must be capable of proficiently using OESC's standard software (Microsoft Office
  • Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed.
  • Follow the required OESC's safety / security protocols.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to talk, stand, bend, walk, and reach with hands and arms requiring periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computer and phone.
  • Receive and analyze required employer documentation to ensure compliance with state law, agency & departmental procedures resolving issues of taxpayer's compliance with tax and wage reporting.
  • Maintain the required safety and security protocols associated with the above-mentioned responsibilities.

Compensation

  • Annual Salary - $45,078.00; Hourly - $21.672115
  • $45,078.00 annually; $21.672115 hourly
