About the role
- We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Strategic Finance and Corporate Development Manager to join our growing team.
- This individual will play a key role in shaping the company's strategic direction, evaluating growth opportunities, and supporting key corporate initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
- The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in strategy, finance, and cross-functional collaboration, and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Create business cases and strategic frameworks to assess new markets, products, or business models.
- Build financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies).
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and external advisors to manage transaction executions.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track corporate development metrics and pipeline.
- Act as a thought partner to business units on high-impact initiatives (e.g., pricing, expansion, strategic partnerships).

- In 2025, Roofstock took an ownership stake in Casago (short-term rental management services), expanding our platform to support both long-term and short-term rental investment services.
Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, or corporate strategy/development.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong working knowledge of Google Sheets,
- Experience with Sigma and strong skills in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to deal and adapt in an ambiguous fast-paced, start-up environment

- Preferred Qualifications
Nice to have
- CFA or advanced degree a plus.
- Experience with M&A transactions or corporate investment processes.
- Familiarity with business valuation methods and strategic frameworks.
- Prior experience in a fast-growing start-up or technology-driven company is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
Compensation
- Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets.
- The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position.
- Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors.
- Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only a part of our total compensation package.
