About the role
- Silvus is seeking a Quality Control Inspector-I who will report to the Quality Control Inspection Supervisor on the OQC team.
- Primary responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring proper procedures are followed for incoming electronic and mechanical parts and during the manufacturing and testing process.
- This role is also responsible for investigating any quality issues, anomalies, or failures and will work alongside engineering and suppliers to recommend any necessary changes or improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document inspections of products and processes, including electronic cables, GPS devices, Wi-Fi dongles, connectors, mechanical enclosures, shields, and other critical components.
- Maintain Quality documentation.
- Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
- NOTE - As a US Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen).
- Stricter U.S. Citizen ONLY requirements (needed for some Engineering or R&D roles) will be included in the Required Qualifications section of the posted position.

Nice to have
- IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (current or previously held) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic assemblies, PCBs, cable assemblies, and electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, assembly, or production environments is preferred
- experience with inspection tools such as calipers, microscopes, multimeters, or magnification devices is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to identify workmanship defects, cosmetic issues, and nonconforming conditions within electronic assemblies is preferred.
- Interest or passion for electronics, technology, aerospace, defense, or related technical industries.
- Ability to quickly learn technical processes, inspection criteria, and company procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional production and quality teams.
- Demonstrates a proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic understanding of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) awareness and handling practices is a plus.
- Experience reading or interpreting assembly drawings, work instructions, or basic technical documentation is preferred.

- $24.20 - $25.30 / hourly
