About the role
- Collects and processes clinical laboratory specimens of the patient population.
- Assists in delivery of physicians' reports via phone and electronic distribution in a timely manner.
- Obtains diagnosis and patient demographics to ensure proper billing.
Responsibilities
- Performs venipuncture on patients of all age groups and other specimen collection using proper therapeutic skills and according to procedures.
- Maintains work area and supplies according to protocol between patients and end of shift.
- Maintains laboratory information system. Monitors error logs.

- No experience required upon hire.

Nice to have
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred.
- CPT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician from National Heathcareer Association (NHA) preferred OR
- PBT - Certified Phlebotomy Technician through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred OR

- Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
