- What You Will Contribute: The Logistics Specialist is responsible for executing inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Customer Service, Credit, and Planning to ensure order readiness and validate customer site capabilities.
- Perform CTPAT Tier III security procedures including seal verification, 7-point inspections, and documentation checks.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to manage shipment planning and execution.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Support SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance objectives.
Requirements
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping regulations.
- Experience using transportation management systems (TMS).
- Intermediate understanding of logistics concepts, planning tools, and software (MRP, WMS, TMS) required
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Nice to have
- High School Degree/GED required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving or a related field desired
- DGD/IATA certification (air required
- ocean preferred).

- Warehouse operations experience (racking, material handling equipment).
