About the role
- The role of this position is to assist in the management of all activities associated with the filling/packaging of products.
- Evaluate and improve work processes resolving problem areas
- Ensure product quality through a commitment to SOP adherence and training of staff
Responsibilities
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel in following policies and procedures
- Leads the packaging/filling rooms and coordinate activities of workers engaged in filling and packaging products
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing facility
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds
- Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gowning) must be worn as required.
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required.
- Must be available to respond to critical shift issues outside of scheduled hours on an as-needed basis.
- The ADA requires that job descriptions reflect the physical and mental demands required to effectively perform the essential duties of the job.
