About the role
- The Plumber/Pipefitter/Steamfitter - Fire Sprinkler Fitter position combines advanced electronics expertise with journeyman-level plumbing and sprinkler skills to ensure the proper function and safety of building and facility systems.
- In addition, you diagnose electronic fire alarm issues, the role requires interpreting blueprints and schematics, and performing journeyman-level plumbing, pipefitting, welding, and pipe fitting tasks to maintain building infrastructure and equipment.

- In this role, you maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of fire and life safety systems, such as fire alarms, suppression systems, and sprinkler systems.

Requirements
- Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Nice to have
- Journey-level plumbing or pipefitter certification preferred at time of hire.
- Three (3) years of experience as a fire alarm technician or equivalent.
- Welding experience.
- Welding certification obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing of Water Based Suppression Systems.
- NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
- NICET Certification in Special Hazard Suppression Systems.

- In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
Compensation
- Monthly Salary: $5,398 to $6,259 | Range 51G (Steps G-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaini
