About the role
- The main duties and responsibilities of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist include the following, but not limited to:
- Follow the laboratory's standard operating procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, and recording of test results
- Complete assigned laboratory and non-laboratory tasks
Responsibilities
- Perform molecular genetic testing on clinical specimens
- Perform, review and document laboratory quality control procedures in accordance with the Quality Assurance Program
- Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications

Requirements
- Experience in high complexity clinical laboratory testing, preferably in molecular diagnostics
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented and comfortable with technology
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change and a rapid work pace
- Prepare reagents required for laboratory testing
- Perform proficiency testing for the clinical tests
Nice to have
- Performance of molecular testing (PCR, Microarray, Sanger/NGS sequencing) a plus

- The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc.
- Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
