  • Job Description: Pay Range: $68,000 - $98,468 per year SCOPE: Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Provides psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central lines catheter devices.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
  • Maintains all disinfection protocols.
  • Maintains equipment according to quality control standards.
  • Manages patient medication refill requests and records the information in the patient chart.
  • Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
  • Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology
  • Demonstrates knowledge of physiological, psychological, and developmental and age specific differences in the patient population including late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, and the elderly.
  • Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Will be required to learn how to mix chemotherapy/immunotherapy.
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred or required unless grandfathered in.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements.

Compensation

  • $68,000 - $98,468 per year
