Summary: Our Electronics Technician is a skilled role responsible for supporting the testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of locomotive electronic devices.

Perform functional tests on electronic products at various stages of assembly.
Complete daily work orders/schedule based on productivity levels assigned by supervisors and line leads.
Maintain electronics test equipment and ensure test equipment is within calibration date.
Monitor and manage chemical shelf life.
Willing to cross-train and support other team members as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Associate's degree in electronic technology, or Equivalent military certification or work experience in electronics repair.
Familiarity with common test equipment, i.e., oscilloscopes, multi-meters, signal/function generators, frequency counters, ESS Chamber, etc.
Ability to read, understand and analyze schematic drawings.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, test procedures, engineering and graphic work instructions, and technical documentations - accurately and consistently in English.
Experience in stand-alone testing of electronic boards.
Basic soldering experience and ability to use precision hand tools
Preferred: Associate's degree in electronic technology, or Equivalent military certification or work experience in electronics repair.
Preferred: +1 years of experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting or electronics assembly.

Good working knowledge and experience with testing electronics
Familiar with IPC 610, recent IPC training, and ESD protocols
Familiarity with Microsoft OS, HyperTerminal, Pro-comm, or Tera Term software for testing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
