About the role
- We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team, focused on building the Nimble's Robotics platform that powers our robotics applications.
- You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development projects including design, implementation, automated testing, field testing, and deployment support.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain system flashing process used in both manufacturing and development scenarios.
- Design, implement and maintain system and firmware OTA process.
- Customize vendor drivers to support and enhance Nimble's robotics applications.
- Drive software engineering best practices across the team by producing high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code and raising the bar in reviews.
- Participate in and often lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning sessions.
- Nimble is an AI robotics company building the autonomous supply chain to power fast, efficient and economical commerce.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Rust, C, C++.
- Experience with Linux kernel development
- Experience with uboot, EDK2, platform firmware, UEFI etc
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong self learning and improvement mindset.
- Good understanding of computer networking
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Compensation
- The salary range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $180,000 and $250,000/year.
- Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- In addition to cash compensation, this position will also receive generous equity for this position.
