About the role

  • SLR is seeking a Bridge Inspection Diver to join our Bridgeport, Connecticut office.
  • This position offers the opportunity to travel (approximately 50% overnight) while supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality inspection projects across diverse locations.
  • As our new Bridge Inspection Diver, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare standard documents, such as technical reports

Requirements

  • Familiarity with sound engineering and safe diving principles
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, approximately 50% overnight

  • Diver Certification
  • NBIS Certification (NHI - 130091 Underwater Bridge Inspection Training)
  • Valid driver's license

Nice to have

  • 3 years preferred experience as a commercial diver, including underwater inspections of bridges, piers, piles, wharves, docks and bulkheads
  • NBIS Certification (NHI 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and NHI 130053 Bridge Inspection Refresher Training if NHI 130055 Certificate is older than 4 years) a plus

Compensation

  • The salary range for this position is $93,600.00 - $124,800. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location
