- In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable cost management and estimating team.
Responsibilities
- Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information.
- Review, interpret and define the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.
- Build up unit costs based on understanding of labor and material rate structures.
- Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.
- Prepare and deliver summary analysis for assigned scope of work.
- Develop and implement risk and value management exercises on projects.
- Deliver quality work product by role modeling organizational core values.
- Consistently communicate and collaborate with team members and clients.
Requirements
- more than 7+ years' experience post receiving undergraduate degree working in related field with mechanical process estimating
- Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Proactively participate in self-development to continually enhance current skills and build new skills required to excel at current role and prepare for career progression.
- Candidates must be prepared to wear cleanroom PPE for parts of the work (coveralls, face masks, gloves, etc.)
Nice to have
- BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field

- Demonstrate technical knowledge of the construction industry and the ability to use cost-estimating methods.
- Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings.

- Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the construction field.
- Ability to effectively integrate with other departments.
- Ability to quickly analyze, compare, and interpret detailed but sometimes poorly defined information.
- Possess a working knowledge of Cumming's tools, systems, and procedures.
- Demonstrate understanding of cost management fundamentals.
- Ability to communicate with various stakeholders, internal and external to company.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently.
