About the role

  • Headquartered in Texas, we have 450+ employees across the US and Canada.
  • As Vice President, Interconnection (PSE), you'll play a critical leadership role within our Power Systems Engineering team, leading the growth and delivery of our interconnection services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the interconnection team, ensuring high-quality technical delivery and strong client satisfaction
  • Lead kickoff meetings with generation and large load developers
  • Support clients throughout the full interconnection lifecycle, including capacity analysis, application support, model development, study review, and owner's engineering
  • Partner with sales teams to achieve revenue targets and expand interconnection services into new markets
  • Represent E Source at industry conferences and events to build relationships and enhance market presence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with renewable generation and data center developers

Requirements

  • Bring deep expertise in power system engineering, transmission planning, and generator and load interconnection processes across major ISOs/RTOs
  • Have strong knowledge of clean energy technologies, including renewables, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and large load and data center projects
  • Have a strong client-facing presence, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights

Nice to have

  • Have an established network across utilities, ISOs/RTOs, developers, and key industry stakeholders
  • Have experience supporting business development, shaping service offerings, and closing work
  • Have regularly represented your organization at conferences, industry forums, or speaking engagements
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineering, utility consulting, or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and client engagements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (PhD or PE preferred)
  • Strong understanding of North American interconnection processes and regulatory environments

Compensation

  • The budgeted salary for this position is $320,0000 USD + annual bonus.
