About the role
- This position is based in the Firm's global operations center in Tampa, FL.
- The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading cross functional initiatives from initiation through delivery, ensuring projects meet defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Special projects and duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- This role applies standardized project management practices to drive disciplined execution, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and maintain stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead cross functional projects from initiation through completion using PMO defined methodologies, tools, and governance.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and resource needs.
- Coordinate project activities across business and technical teams to maintain momentum and delivery focus.
- Manage vendor activities, including participation in RFP development, evaluation, and oversight of contracted deliverables.
- Facilitate alignment across business, technical, and functional partners.
- Deliver accurate, stakeholder appropriate project reporting and updates.
- Identify, assess, and manage project level risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Develop and track mitigation plans; escalate risks and issues as appropriate.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking in accordance with PMO standards.
Requirements
- Experience working in a PMO or governed delivery environment.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Nice to have
- PMP certification.
- Previous experience in a law firm a plus.
Skills
- Cross-functional project leadership from initiation through delivery.
- Project planning, scheduling, and milestone management
- Expertise in triple constraint: scope, schedule, and budget management.
- Working knowledge of risk, issue, and dependency management.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience using project management tools, templates, and governance processes.
- Ability to coordinate vendors and provide contract delivery oversight.
- Change impacts assessment and adoption support
- Resource planning and capacity coordination
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Microsoft Office Suite, or Microsoft 365.
- Required Qualifications & Education:
- 3-5 years of professional project management experience.
