About the role
- We are looking for a manual QA Analyst with insurance industry experience to join our growing team.
- If you are a curious, detail-oriented, problem-solver who thrives on breaking things and pushing our software to its limits, this might be the position for you.

Responsibilities
- Execute efficient test plans and perform ad-hoc testing as needed.
- Perform effective data validation and analysis using SQL.
- Utilize specification documents to create targeted test plans that exhibit the intersection of business needs and likely tech failures.
- Leverage AI tools (such as Claude or similar AI assistants) to optimize manual testing, brainstorm creative edge cases, and generate test data.
Requirements
- 3+ years as a QA Analyst in the property and casualty insurance space.
- Hands-on experience with modern test case management tools.
- Familiarity with interpreting API documentation and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Proven ability to write effective and detailed test cases and test plans from requirements, user stories, or technical specifications.
- You are an analytical problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, very collaborative environment.
- Oh, and you have to be a reasonably nice person.
- Some occasional travel for team meetings and training may be required.
Skills
- 3+ years performing testing or other similar tech-related work.
- 2+ years SQL or similar scripting experience.
- Coding and troubleshooting experience with our tech stack (.NET/C#/SQL Server).
- Experience testing different data formats like JSON and XML.
- Familiarity with utilizing AI tools to assist with daily testing tasks and documentation.
- We're an MS Office environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack)
- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
- Designated quiet work from home space.
- Actual compensation for this position will vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
