- The Classroom Assistant assists in teaching a diverse population of children in an atmosphere of kindness that encourages active inquiry, fosters individual growth, and promotes respect for self and others.
Responsibilities
- Supports students with emotional or behavioral problems and helps them develop social skills.
- Supports teachers in photocopying and maintaining student records.
Requirements
- Completion of the Department of Children and Families required training hours including CPR and First Aid Training within probationary period.
- No previous experience required
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Completion of certification program of study to obtain the Florida Child Care Professional Credential is preferred.
Compensation
- Completion of in-service hours required annually through APPLE Accreditation and the Department of Children and Families.
