About the role

This includes API reference material, programming instructions, code examples, user guides, system administration guides, hardware documentation, training materials, error messages, release notes, and more.

Partner with software, hardware, support, product, and marketing teams to gather information, understand documentation requirements, and ensure content is accurate, complete, and aligned with product functionality.
Participate in the product development lifecycle to identify, plan, and deliver documentation additions, enhancements, and updates for new releases.
Review and edit peer content to maintain quality, clarity, consistency, and adherence to established documentation standards.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on schedule.
About the role D-Wave is seeking a Technical Writer II to support our growth and continued product releases.
In this role, you will join our team of technical writers and work closely with software, hardware, support, and marketing teams to research, create, and maintain customer-facing technical documentation.
You will support documentation initiatives, contribute to documentation strategy and standards, and help drive continuous improvements to the user experience.

About You Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience as a technical writer producing customer-facing documentation for software development or technical audiences.
Experience with HTML and CSS.
Experience with reStructuredText, Markdown, or similar markup languages.
Experience with UI/UX design principles.
Experience with graphic design and technical illustration.

The base salary for this role is targeted between $84,000 - $115,000 CAD per year.
The final offer is determined by your proficiencies within this level.
