About the role

  • The Manager of Batch Stability Studies oversees operations, process improvements, and strategic direction for a professional team.
  • Represents ERCOT in stakeholder forums, committees, and working groups.
  • Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of staff.

Responsibilities

  • This job description is not intended to create a contract of employment with ERCOT.
  • Provides engineering analysis and technical support for implementation of Batch stability studies pursuant to NERC Standards, ERCOT Protocol, and Market Guides.
  • Coordinates with cross functional departments to implement Batch studies for Large Load Interconnection based on ERCOT requirements and NERC Standards.

Requirements

  • Requires the ability to gain acceptance from others in complex situations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Required)

Nice to have

  • Experience performing large scale stability studies.
  • Experience supporting transmission planning assessments.
  • Experience analyzing large load dynamic behavior (e.g., data centers, industrial loads) and assessing system impacts.
  • Familiarity with NERC reliability standards, particularly FAC-002 and TPL standards.
  • Master's Degree: Electrical Engineering or related field (Preferred)

Compensation

  • $159,000 - $218,000
