About the role
- The salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $165,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
- We're passionate about helping the world find a better way to get there-wherever it is you're headed.
- We're located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world-class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute the global sourcing strategy for the EE components and semiconductors across our current and next-gen vehicle roadmap, with scalability designed in from the start.
- Own a semiconductor technology roadmap that keeps our product architecture aligned with where suppliers and the industry are heading.
- Own the Approved Vendor List end to end, running the full supplier lifecycle from finding and qualifying new sources to evaluating how they perform once they're in.
- Negotiate the long-term agreements, Master Purchase Agreements, and quality terms that lock in the high-priority parts we need to build and scale.
- Lead BOM scrubs to catch end-of-life risks, single-source exposure, and technical bottlenecks before design freeze, and partner with Architecture and Engineering to shape design decisions for the right balance of cost, performance, and resilience.
- Own should-cost modeling and use it to drive down total cost of ownership through negotiation and value engineering.
- Keep a read on the market. Pricing swings, lead-time shifts, capacity, and technical advances in silicon all feed your strategy.
- Comfortable operating as the subject-matter expert with a lot of autonomy, strong at building relationships inside and outside the company, and able to travel domestically and internationally about 25% of the time.
- Together we're working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.
- We're a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow.
