About the role

You'll be our first in-house accounting hire, responsible for everything from month-end close and technical accounting to audits, tax, compliance, and financial systems.
You'll work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, and Finance, helping ensure our commercial processes scale alongside the company.
US GAAP compliance and technical accounting

You'll manage our external accounting partners while building the processes and infrastructure needed to support a rapidly growing business.
You'll have the opportunity to shape how accounting operates at Granola from the ground up, using thoughtful process design, technology, and automation to build a finance function that scales efficiently.

8-12 years of accounting experience in a high-growth technology company, with increasing ownership of the accounting function.
Deep expertise in US GAAP, technical accounting, and SaaS revenue recognition.
Experience supporting multi-entity businesses and international operations.
Familiarity with transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, and international tax.
Strong understanding of billing systems and revenue operations.
Strong operational instincts and a track record of improving business processes beyond the accounting function.
Experience partnering closely with commercial organizations such as Sales, Revenue Operations, or Customer Success.

Experience scaling a company through periods of rapid growth.
Led or played a key role in an accounting ERP migration.
